There are different types of eating disorders such as, anorexia bulimia and bulimia nervosa.

Anorexia is when a person becomes malnourished as the person typically barely eats and starves and loses weight quickly and extremely fast (KH).

Bulimia is a combination of purging and binge eating; a person will overindulge eating food and then make himself or herself purge afterwards (KH).
